PROVEN SIRES MAKE KLIPDRIFT DRAFT A STANDOUT
26 January 2018

Klipdrif Stud will consign four exciting lots at the 2018 Cape Yearling Sale, due to take place at the lavish Mistico Equestrian Centre next month.
The draft, all consigned as agent, include lots by proven sires Elusive Fort, Judpot, Philanthropist and the very exciting Twice Over.

The latter, a four time G1 winning European champion, has made a cracking start to his stud career, with his first crop including G1 winner Sand And Sea and G3 Politician Stakes winner Doublemint. Twice Over, whose son The Cyclades topped the 2017 Cape Yearling Sale, is also responsible for lot 61, a colt out of a three time winning daughter of emerging broodmare sire Joshua Dancer (damsire of 3yo filly sensation Snowdance).

The sire of champions overseas, Philanthropist is also sire of current emerging Hong Kong sensation Singapore Sling. The son of Kris S has a lovely filly to his name in the form of End Of Innocence (Lot 11). The latter is out of a winning sister to G3 Final Fling Stakes winner Bit On The Side.

Klipdrif resident sire Elusive Fort, sire of G1 performers Siren’s Call, Lauderdale, Safe Harbour and Fort Ember, is the sire of lot 54, a filly by the name of Hidden Strings. Out of a winning daughter of champion sire Captain Al, Hidden Strings is bred on the same cross as the sire’s smart stakes winner Ernie.

Former Equus Outstanding Stallion Judpot has been in sizzling form late, and the son of A P Indy has a smart sort in this draft in the form of his daughter She’s Cooking (Lot 59). This chestnut , whose dam is a winning half-sister to G2 winning filly Joshlin, is out of a ¾ sister to multiple G1 winner Ebony Flyer (dam of this season’s smart 3yo Cot Campbell).
