Renowned stud-farm Riverton Stud have a proud track record of producing top class racehorses.
Among the stars bred by the Barry owned farm are champion sprinter Captain Of All, Cape Guineas hero Domino Man, Gold Medallion hero Potent Power, and recent  G3 Umkhomazi Stakes hero Al Mariachi.

Riverton will be offering a quartet of quality yearlings at the 2018 Cape Yearling Sale later this month.

The draft is made up of colts by resident sire Blue Tiger, and the likes of Master Of My Fork, Pathfork and Vercingetorix.

The latter has strong ties to Riverton Stud, whose grooms sold the subsequent Equus Champion at the 2011 National Sale for R1.4 million.

A G1 winner in both South Africa and Dubai, Vercingetorix’s sole lot in this draft is a colt out of a half-sister to dual G1 winner Thunder Dance (Lot 24). His second dam is a dual G1 winning Fort Wood half-sister to Cape Guineas winner and champion sire Captain Al (sire of, among others, Captain Of All).

Millionaire Blue Tiger also has one colt  (Lot 62) in the draft and this is a half-brother to six winners, headed by Mauritian stakes winner Liquid Motion. He is from the same family as the Riverton Stud bred dual G1 winner Domino Man.

Champion Pathfork, sire of graded winners Red Chesnut Road and My Friend Lee, is the sire of Lot 3, a bay half-brother to 5 winners, including G2 Peninsula Hcp runner up and former Met contender Awesome Power.

Last in the draft is a colt (Lot 84) by very promising young sire Master Of My Fate. This colt is a half-brother to 3 winners, including Listed Spook Express Handicap winner Sheikitupbaby and his dam won four times up to 1200m.

Surely this draft has something for everyone!
