The Alchemy, the breeders of numerous top class athletes –including Triple Crown winning sire Louis The King, will be offering six quality yearlings at the 2018 Cape Yearling Sale later this month.

The farm’s draft contains lots by dual G1 winner Gitano Hernando,  July winner Bold Silvano, European champion Twice Over and red-hot young sire, and multiple Equus Champion What A Winter.

Globetrotting sensation Gitano Hernando, sire of smart 3yo Steel Rose, has three colts in the draft. His colt (Lot 15) out of the winning Toreador mare Tarragon is from the same family as Alchemy bred Horse Of The Year Flobayou and high class filly Pure Power.

Another by Gitano Hernando is a colt out of French Girl (Lot 52). The chesnut is out of a winning daughter of National Assembly and SA Fillies Guineas winner She’s A Treat, herself a daughter of prominent speed sire Harry Hotspur.
Third and final yearling by Gitano Hernando in this draft is a chestnut colt (Lot 60) whose second dam is a full-sister to multiple G1 winner Duchess Daba.

Bold Silvano, whose son Bold Rex has been entered for the G1 Dubai Turf and G2 Godolphin Mile on World Cup night in March, is the sire of an intriguingly bred filly (Lot 8) –whose third dam Saffron is also second dam of Bold Silvano himself, while hugely exciting young stallion Twice Over’s single lot here is a filly from the same family as champion King’s Chapel and very influential sire Mummy’s Pet (Lot 80).

Equus Champion and leading Second Crop Sire What A Winter has a smart grey colt (Lot 77), whose second dam is the El Gran Senor sired champion Kundalini. This is the same family as European classic winners Kooyonga and former Cape sire Roland Gardens.
