Rennie Price’s Wicklow Stud has been enjoying a good run of success this season.
Among the farm’s recent winners are Listed Wolf Power Handicap hero Arctica, who has banked over R500 000 and other winners Singing In Seattle, Noceur, Bruce’s Beauty, and Mamba Mania.

Wicklow Stud are proud to offer three high class yearlings at Sunday week’s Cape Yearling Sale.

Equus Champion and July winner Bold Silvano has enjoyed a wonderful run of success with his two-year-olds this season, and the son of Silvano is the sire of an unnamed bay filly (Lot 25) out of the winning Caesour mare Vivacity. The latter, already dam of four winners is a half-sister to G3 performer Farolito and hails from the same family as champion sprinter Senor Santa and current high class galloper Al Mariachi.

A proven G1 sire himself, Mambo In Seattle is responsible for unbeaten 3yo sensation, and G2 Betting World Gauteng Guineas contender, Majestic Mambo. He is also the sire of a colt (Lot 50), who is a half-brother to 3 winners, notably talented stakes placed sprinter Purple Tractor. This is the same Soho Secret family as champions London News, Kings Gambit and Promisefrommyheart, as well as promising young sire Master Of My Fate and this season’s unbeaten G3 Flamboyant Stakes winner Hashtagyolo.

Last in the Wicklow draft is lot 83 –a colt by Dynasty’s triple G1 winning son Jackson. This colt, a half-brother to a four time winner, is out of a winning Western Winter half-sister to stakes winner and G1 Triple Crown 1600 third Allied Prospect. The family of brilliant front runner Great World, who was placed in six G1 races.

The 2018 Cape Sale gets underway at the Mistico Equestrian Centre at 13:00 pm.
