Daytona Stud, breeders of numerous high class racehorses-including current sire sensation What A Winter, will, once again, be represented at the 2018 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale.

The Ceres based outfit offer just two lots on this year’s National Sale, but both yearlings have plenty to recommend them!
Both Daytona’s 2018 National Sale yearlings are sired by sires who not only won major international G1 features but both have subsequently sired numerous international G1 winners.

First on offer is Draft Day (Lot 429), a colt by former G1 Travers Stakes winner Flower Alley (sire of, among others, US champion and Kentucky Derby/Preakness Stakes hero I’ll Have Another). Draft Day is a half-brother to 7 winners, most notably being dual G2 Hawaii Stakes winning millionaire Whiteline Fever.

His dam is a winning half-sister to outstanding broodmare Laptop Lady, the dam of four stakes winners-including globetrotting Equus Champion and successful sire Jay Peg. This is also the family of former two-year-old champion and G1 winner Kochka.

Second of the Daytona offering is Liquid Force (Lot 491), a chestnut daughter of Cartier Champion and five time G1 winner Duke Of Marmalade. The latter is a proven sire of top class fillies, with his daughters including such major classic winners as Simple Verse, Star Of Seville and Sound Of Freedom.

Liquid Force, a ½ sister to 4 winners-including G3 winner Ultimate Dollar, is out of stakes placed winner of four Mkushi Gold. The latter, by champion sire and increasingly successful broodmare sire Western Winter, is a half-sister to 3 stakes horses, including champion racemare Disco Queen. Mkushi Gold is also half-sister to the stakes placed dam of Equus Champion and multiple G1 winner French Navy.

The impeccably bred Liquid Force, whose other relatives include champion sprinter Basic Instinct, is a granddaughter of champion Gypsy Silk (by outstanding broodmare sire Del Sarto).
