HENHAM STUD SEND TWO TO NATIONAL SALE

The Henham Stud, who represent the Karoo Breeders, will be represented by a pair of classy yearlings at the 2018 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale, which takes place in Germiston at the end of this month.

First of the Henham pair on offer is a bay colt (Lot 267) by the highly successful Idea World. A son of Kingmambo and Breeders’ Cup winning champion Banks Hill, Ideal World is the sire of numerous high class performers notably the Equus Champions Smart Call and Hermoso Mundo.
The colt on offer is a half-brother to six winners including G2 Selangor Cup winner De Kock and to the dam of the stakes placed Neon Tiger.

His winning Al Mufti dam is a half-sister to G3 winning sprinter Sharp Ledge, the dam of Tommy Hotspur hero Sharp Design.

Successful Storm Cat sire Black Minnaloushe is responsible for Henham’s other offering (Lot 423). This filly is a half-sister to four winners including G2 Senor Santa runner up Mr Black Tom, a winner of seven races who banked over R400 000 in stakes.

This filly, whose granddam is a stakes winner of seven, is out of a winning half-sister to stakes winners Like A Prayer and Bartolini
She hails from the same family as champion Golden Taipan, brilliant French filly Girl Friend, Champion Stakes winner Tel Quel and Liege –winner of the 2017 G1 Sansui Summer Cup.
