The Alchemy, who were responsible for breeding KZN Yearling Sale poster-boy and Triple Crown winning sire Louis The King, will be offering seven classy lots at the 2018 KZN Sale.
The draft is made up yearlings by such popular sires as Crusade, Jackson, Soft Falling Rain and Twice Over.
Triple G1 winner Jackson has made a great start with his first runners this season, and he is the sire of a colt (Lot 104) whose dam is a half-sister to 3 stakes horses, including smart filly Ugly Betty.

European champion Twice Over, whose first crop yielded the likes of Do It Again and Sand And Sea, has a colt (Lot 142) who is a half-brother to 3 winners and is from the family of Met winner Polo Classic, while G1 winner and G1 sire Pathfork has a filly (Lot 166) whose dam is a four time winning granddaughter of Australian champion Flitter.
Resident Storm Cat sire Where’s That Tiger is represented in The Alchemy draft by a colt (Lot 195) out of G2 SA Fillies Nursery third Indigo Princess, while G1 winning 2yo Seventh Rock has a son (Lot 217) whose seven winning siblings include G1 Golden Horseshoe runner up Straight Forward and 11 time winner Martini’s Way.

Champion Soft Falling Rain’s first yearlings have made up to R1.6 million, and the former star 2yo is the sire of a half-brother (Lot 242) to hugely talented 3yo Sunny Bill Du-Toy –and this is the family of international champions Ajdal, Arazi and Noverre and top class sire Exchange Rate.
Another top class 2yo represented in The Alchemy draft is former Middle Park Stakes winner Crusade. The latter is responsible for a colt (Lot 258) whose dam is a five time winning daughter of champion sire Captain Al. This is the same family as G2 winning sprinter Alter Ego.

The 2018 KZN Yearling Sale takes place on July 5th and 6th, just before the running of the 2018 Vodacom Durban July.
