David Southey’s Southford Stud will be offering eight yearlings at next month’s KZN Yearling Sale at the Sibaya Entertainment World.
Southford annually produces a flood of winners, many of whom can be obtained for fair prices.

This year the stud will offering yearlings by the deceased sire Lateral as well as July Cup runner up Main Aim.

Lateral, sire of this season’s G2 Premier Trophy hero Milton and G1 winning filly Bilateral, has two fillies in the draft.

They include Steady Breeze (Lot 122) a bay half-sister to multiple winner Snow Path, and out of a winning half-sister to graded winners Narc and Captain’s Secret, and Get Set (Lot 256). The latter, a half-sister to five time winner Goodness Me, is out of a half-sister to multiple G1 winner Forest Path.

Oasis Dream’s talented son Main Aim has six lots in the Southford draft. Among them is a daughter of seven time stakes winner Running Wild (Lot 7), a half-brother to the very talented filly Captain’s Girl (Lot 116),  a full-sister to feature race winner Desert Chief (Lot 146), and a filly from the same family as champion sprinter The Barbican (Lot 250).
