Vaughan Koster’s Cheveley Stud once again bring forward a top quality draft to the National Two Year Old Sale.

The farm will be offering six, and one as agent, at the 2018 Two Year Old Sale, traditionally South Africa’s best value for money thoroughbred auction.
Among the highlights in this draft is the only colt by deceased champion sire Captain Al on the sale, as well as lots by such commercially popular stallions as Gimmethegreenlight, Jackson, Vercingetorix and Cheveley’s own resident stallion Wylie Hall.
The late, great Captain Al, whose representatives this season include G1 winners Snowdance, Sergeant Hardy, Tap O’ Noth and Undercover Agent, is the sire of a classically bred colt (Lot 372), whose siblings include the dam of the smart runners In Limine and Romi’s Boy. This colt’s dam, by champion sprinter and top class sire Anabaa, is an own sister to the Australian G1 winners Anacheeva and Headturner and half-sister to G1 winning 2yo O’Marilyn.
Sire sensation Gimmethegreenlight, whose recent big race winners include the likes of Surcharge and Barahin, is represented in the Cheveley draft by a filly (Lot 322) whose five time winning dam is a half-sister to G3 Fillies Mile winner Katy’s Lane and ten time stakes winner Follow The Piper.

Dynasty’s triple G1 winner Jackson has two in the draft, with his filly (Lot 79) out of Supa Glow hailing from the same family as multiple G1 winning champion filly Kiss Of Peace. Jackson is also sire of a colt (Lot 300) whose winning dam is an own sister to G3 Strelitzia Stakes winner Marquetta –the dam of millionaire and Emerald Cup hero Alimony.

Equus Champion and Jebel Hatta hero Vercingetorix is the sire of a half-sister (Lot 315) to 10 winners including Selangor Cup hero Mercury Chief, while multiple G1 winner Wylie Hall’s first crop includes a half-sister to the very smart filly Frederico’s Dream (Lot 110) and a colt (Lot 163) whose five winning siblings include the speedy stakes performer Monsieur Dupont.

The 2018 National Two Year Old Sale takes place in Germiston on August 16th and 17 and the catalogue can be viewed at
