Barbara Sanne’s well established Oldlands Stud, breeders of such standout performers as Go Indigo, English Garden, Lucky Find, Sanshaawes and Selangor Cup hero Rocket Countdown, will be offering 15 (two as agent) at the 2018 National Two Year Old Sale next week.

First on offer is Rosalina (Lot 8) a filly by Sanshaawes’ sire Ashaawes and half-sister to the recent winner Defy Gravity.  Rosalina is described as a “well grown, powerful and mature filly.”
Ashaawes is also sire of Out Of The Rainbow (Lot 51) a colt whose four time winning Var sired dam is a half-sister to millionaire and multiple graded stakes winner Kangaroo Jack. He is “a beautifully balanced and correct colt.”
Yet another Ashaawes juvenile in this draft is Dune Goddess (Lot 387), a filly whose winning dam is a daughter of six time stakes winner Catchpenny and this is the family of Equus Champion Jeppe’s Reef among others. This filly is “mature and well grown, and has a wonderful length of stride.”

Multiple Equus Champion and boom sire What A Winter is represented in the Oldlands draft by Cyber Blossom (Lot 211), a beautifully bred half-sister to seven winners notably talented Olympic Duel Stakes winner Hanabi.

Master Of My Fate, one the leading first crop sires in South Africa last season, is the sire of Atomic Blonde (Lot 55) a colt from the same family as G1 winners Yquem and Captain’s Gal, as well as current high class sprinter Dutch Philip. This is a rangy, well grown, colt with plenty of scope.

Irish 2000 Guineas winner and proven G1 sire Black Minnaloushe is with multiple entries in the Oldlands draft.  His daughter French Art (Lot 60) is out of a winning half-sister to multiple stakes winning filly Tuvana Silva and is said to be a beautifully put together filly, mature, scopy and athletic.

Another by Black Minnaloushe is Edo Furin (Lot 124) a ¾ brother to high class stakes performer Tiger Play who is described as a big, strong, impressive colt out of a Captain Al mare.

In-form sire Elusive Fort, responsible for recent graded winners Secret Potion and Freedom Charter, is represented by a very well bred filly in the form of Skywards (Lot 388). A half-sister to BSA August Million winner Fullfillyourdream, she is from the same mighty E family as Elusive Fort himself and is thus inbred to the important mare Empiric.
Other eye catching 2yos in the Oldlands draft include a rangy and well grown filly (Lot 113) from the first crop of Wylie Hall, a Where’s That Tiger half-brother (Lot 375) to the smart performer Borya, and a colt (Lot 430) by triple G1 winner Jackson who hails from the immediate family of last season’s G1 sprinter Pinnacle Peak.
This Jackson colt, who has been named Capjack is a beautiful black colt said to be the spitting image of his Two Year Old Sale topping sire!
