Pecan Hill Stud will be offering four high quality two-year-olds at next Thursday and Friday’s National Two Year Old Sale.
All four of their lots are sired by G1 winners and or official champions, with the Pecan Hill draft made up juveniles by the likes of Captain Of All, Jackson, Pathfork and Soft Falling Rain.

Triple G1 winner Jackson, himself a former National Two Year Old Sale topper, is represented by a colt (Lot 140) whose winning Western Winter sired dam is a half-sister to SA Fillies Nursery winner Dash For Gretna while his Elliodor sired second dam is an own sister to Bloodline Million winning sire Leopard Strike and to the dam of G1 winning Equus Champion Kochka.

Captain Al sired Equus Champion Sprinter Captain Of All’s first crop has been very well received and the triple G1 winner is represented in the Pecan Hill Stud draft by a colt (Lot230) who is closely inbred to champion sire Al Mufti. This colt’s second dam is an own sister to G1 winning champion Arabian Lass and to the dam of SA Nursery winner Arabian Beat- himself a  R70 000 buy from the Two Year Old Sale back in 2014.

Soft Falling Rain is another Equus Champion represented by a member of his first crop in this draft. The globetrotting star is the sire of a colt (Lot 250), whose half-brother Basilius won on debut, and he is out of a winning half-sister to Sweet Chestnut Stakes winner Sunset Tripp. This is the family of champions Kelly, Imperious Sue and Victory Moon as well as recent G1 winning siblings Real Princess and William Longsword.

Irish Champion Pathfork, sire of last season’s high class 2yos Mighty High and Madame Speaker, is represented by a colt (Lot 297) whose second dam is a half-sister to Equus Champion and Gold Cup winner Thundering Star and his fourth dam is legendary South African champion Olympic Duel.
