GOLDEN TOUCH OFFERS TWO TOP COLTS
11 February 2019
Gary and Jackie Joliffe’s Golden Touch Thoroughbred Services will be offering, as agent, two very well-bred colts at the Cape Yearling Sale next month.
Take To War (Lot 27), is a colt by former Equus Champion and G1 Jebel Hatta winner Vercingetorix, who is currently South Africa’s Leading First Crop Sire by stakes and individual winners.
This colt, a three-parts brother to a winner, is out of a Galileo half-sister to the Dubai campaigner and Listed Thukela Handicap hero Lehaaf and to G3 Flamboyant Stakes second Salsabeel.
The well related Take To War, whose first three dams are by Galileo, Danehill and Night Shift, also hails from the family of British G1 winners Dead Certain (Cheveley Park Stakes) and Accidental Agent (Queen Anne Stakes).
Golden Touch are also offering The Hitman (Lot 173) a chestnut colt who hails from the first crop of the Dynasty sired Cape Guineas winner Act Of War. This colt is out of a mare who won three, and  his granddam is the smart stakes performer Brown Linnet –who won six up to 2000 metres. The classically bred The Hitman hails from the same female line as outstanding international campaigners Desert Wine, Menifee, Misty For Me, US Navy Flag, Les Arcs, Fasliyev, Roly Poly, and Ballydoyle –to name a few.
The 2019 Cape Yearling Sale will take place at the Mistico Equestrian Centre on March 17th, when trading is scheduled to get underway at 12:30 sharp.
