Beaufort West based farm, the Rosedene Stud, will be offering a 12 strong draft at March 17th’s Cape Yearling Sale next month.

The Rosedene draft is dominated by the progeny of such G1 winning stallions as Act Of War, Captain Of All, Greys Inn, Jackson, and Potala Palace, with such popular sires as Coup De Grace and Master Of My Fate also represented in this good-sized draft.

The Dynasty sired Cape Guineas winner Act Of War has no fewer than five lots in this draft, including a filly (Lot 34) out of Gerald Rosenberg Stakes winner Checcetti, a colt (Lot 145) out of the smart, stakes performer Seven Grand, and a filly (Lot 151) whose Silvano sired dam is a half-sister to Irridescence Stakes winner Red Disa and to the G1 placed dam of SA Nursery winner William The Silent.

Master Of My Fate, whose first crop includes multiple graded stakes winner Twist Of Fate, is represented by a filly (Lot 55) whose winning dam is a daughter of Captain Al and the very speedy G2 winner Nothing But Silk, while triple G1 winning Dynasty horse Jackson is represented by a colt (Lot 60) whose dam is a half-sister to Derby Trial/Java Handicap hero Soul Master.

Tapit’s G2 winning son Coup De Grace has already made a big impression with his first yearlings, and he is represented here by a half-brother (Lot 78) to very promising 3yo, and G3 BMW Politician Stakes runner up Senatla, while his stable mate Captain Of All, sire already of two smart looking first crop winners, has a colt (Lot98) who hails from the same female line as outstanding milers Polish Precedent and Zilzal.
Rosedene’s resident sire, and former Equus Champion, Greys Inn has made his mark as the sire of dual Horse Of The Year Legal Eagle and fellow G1 winners King Of Pain and Royal Bencher. He has two on offer –a filly (Lot 136) from the family of G1 winners Pointing North, Sand And Sea and Wainui, and a filly (Lot 181) whose dam, already dam of a stakes performer, is a ½ sister to Dahlia Plate winner Triumphant Surge.
