Western Cape farm, the Digteby Stud, has produced a host of high class racehorses over the years, notably the Equus Champion and millionaire Hot Ticket.
The latter, a son of Silvano and the Sportsworld mare Hot Number earned over R1 000 000 in stakes during a career which saw Hot Ticket land all of the G2 Gold Vase, G2 Betting World Stakes and G3 Heineken Chairman’s Cup, while establishing himself as a superb stayer.

Digteby will be offering a pair of high quality yearlings at the 2019 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale, with the draft consisting of a filly by Tapit’s exciting son Coup De Grace and a colt by the well-established Equus Champion Elusive Fort.

Multiple graded stakes winner Coup De Grace, a grandson of Breeders’ Cup winning champion Jewel Princess, is represented in this draft by a half-sister (Lot 334) to three winners notably the gutsy G3 Racing Association Handicap runner up Rodeo Sioux and six time winner Chief Sioux. This filly is from the immediate family of talented athlete Major Hero, a stakes winner in both South Africa and Mauritius.

Elusive Fort, whose progeny include such standout performers as Siren’s Call, Lauderdale and Safe Harbour, is represented here by a colt (Lot 550) who is a half or full brother to two winners and whose dam is a three time winning daughter of Silvano and the talented stakes winner Sheltering Trees. This is the same family as multiple G1 winning champion Star Effort.
