Legendary golfer Gary Player will once again represented at the National Sale this year.
Having sold his Colesberg farm, Gary Player will be retaining his interests in thoroughbred breeding via eight mares kept at Equi Librium College near the Plettenberg Bay property where he spends most of his time in South Africa these days.

The Gary Player Stud Farm, breeders of such notable performers as Equus Champion Lady Windermere and G1 winning two-year-old World Over, will be offering a pair of well bred colts at the 2019 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale, due to take place at the TBA complex from April 24th to April 26th.

Exciting young Galileo horse Global View (whose first yearlings have already fetched up to R1 300 000) is represented in this draft by a colt (Lot 37) whose dam is a full-sister to Dubai stakes winner Drift Ice and high class producer Ginger Hill and ¾ sister to Horse Of The Year and five time G1 winner Yard-Arm. This colt’s dam is also a half-sister to Triple Crown winner Abashiri and second dam is a G3 winning daughter of outstanding broodmare sire Elliodor.

Champion sire Trippi (whose progeny include more than 70 stakes winners) has a colt (Lot 195) out of  Winter Oaks winner Rush For John. The latter, in turn, is a daughter of multiple champion sire Jet Master and four time winning Elliodor mare Siena –a half-sister to multiple graded stakes winner Roman Charger.
