Gary and Jackie Joliffe’s Golden Touch Thoroughbred Services are proud to offer a trio of high quality yearlings at the 2019 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale, due to take place in Germiston from April 24th -26th.
Based at the Nutfield Stud just outside Paarl, the Joliffes have been involved in producing numerous high class runners over the years, with their graduates including such G1 winners as Chestnuts ‘N Pearls, Imperious Star and Guiness.
Reflecting (Lot 243) is a filly by proven sire Philanthropist, who was North America’s Leading All Weather Sire in 2014. This filly is a half-sister to the smart filly Gold Image, who ran third in the G3 Strelitzia Stakes and she is out of a full-sister to G2 Sceptre Stakes winner Reflective Image.

Philanthropist, whose progeny include Hong Kong star Singapore Sling and Canadian champions Pender Harbour and Phil’s Dream, is also the sire of Miss Generosity (Lot 453), a filly who is bred on the same Philanthropist/Var cross as high class filly She’s A Giver.

Miss Generosity is very closely related to Reflecting, as her dam is a half-sister to the aforementioned Reflective Image.

Sire sensation Gimmethegreenlight, whose numerous high class performers include current star 3yos Barahin and National Park, is represented in this draft by Firstamongequals (Lot 524), a half-brother to 2 smart winners in Lucky Dancer and Driving Miss Daisy respectively.
Firstamongequals, whose dam is closely inbred to important mare Gay Missile, is out of a stakes placed winning daughter of high class racemare Sparkling Nymph and this colt’s first 3 dams are all black type performers.
