Hanno Joubert’s La Berg Stud will be offering four classy yearlings at the 2019 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale.
The Swellendam based farm brings to the sale yearlings by the likes of Coup De Grace and the Equus Champions Elusive Fort and Legislate.
Dynasty’s four time G1 winning son and former Horse Of The Year Legislate is the sire of Kissed By Fire (Lot 306), a half-sister to four winners including the stakes placed filly Fantasy Quest. This well bred filly is out of G3 Prix du Cap winner Bridal Lace and is from the same family as G1 winners Proud Pilgrim and Noble Warrior.

Well performed Tapit stallion Coup De Grace is represented in this draft by Toothless (Lot 405), a half-brother to stakes winner and East Cape Horse Of The Year Sir Duke. Toothless’ dam, the Captain Al sired Jenna, is a winning half-sister to G3 Winter Derby winner Market Cap.
Increasingly successful sire Elusive Fort, whose progeny include such G1 winners as Siren’s Call and Lauderdale, has two in La Berg’s draft –the filly (Lot 412) out of the National Assembly mare Julietta is a half-sister to four winners notalby the G3 placed filly Princess Julietta and is from the same family as legendary racehorse and sire Buckpasser, while the colt (Lot 527) out of the 3 time winning Jet Master mare Sky Capers is out of a ¾ sister to G1 winner Love Is In The Air and the stakes winners Careful Landing,Jet Jamboree and Princess OfThe Sky.
