MILLSTREAM TO OFFER SEVEN AT NATIONAL SALE
4 April 2019

Jan Mantel’s Millstream Farm will be offering a small, but select, draft of seven yearlings at the 2019 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale, which is due to take place in Germiston from April 24th to 26th.
Millstream’s draft is made up of yearlings by such popular stallions as Twice Over, Pomodoro, What A Winter, Visionaire, Captain Of All, and the very promising Galileo horse Global View.

Proven G1 sire Visionaire, whose progeny include G1 SA Fillies Classic winner Takingthepeace, is represented here by a filly (Lot 91) out of the Al Mufti sired G1 Golden Slipper winner Gilded Minaret- whose dam is high class Dancing Champ matron Chasing Gold.
Current sire sensation, and former July winner, Pomodoro is represented in the Millstream draft by a filly (Lot 123) whose dam is a full-sister to G1 Singapore Cup hero Lizard’s Desire, while another red hot stallion represented here is former champion sprinter What A Winter. The latter is represented here by a blue blooded colt (Lot 225) whose dam is G2 Camellia Stakes winner Surabi –a half-sister to the graded stakes winners Gypsy’s Warning and millionaire Romany Prince.
European champion Twice Over, whose progeny include the multiple G1 winning champion Do It Again, has two exceptionally well related yearlings on offer.
His colt (Lot 137) out of the stakes placed Royal Academy mare Lupin hails from the same female line as outstanding performers Generous, Triptych and dual Arc winner Treve, while the Twice Over filly (Lot 460) out of the Galileo mare Mrs Everest (a full-sister to the dam of multiple G1 winner La Collina) is from the same family as such superb performers as champion sprinter and leading sire Oasis Dream, Horse Of The Year and sire sensation Kingman and French Derby winner New Bay.
Captain Al’s champion sprinter Captain Of All has made a great start, with his early runners including the stakes winning filly Captain Anne Bonny, and he is represented here by a filly (Lot 521) out of the stakes winning Caesour mare Servilia.
Global View, a multiple graded stakes winner whose first yearlings have already made up to R1 300 000, is represented here by a colt (Lot 529) whose 3 time winning dam (a ¾ sister to champion sire Captain Al) is a half-sister to the stakes winning sprinter Battlestar Express.
