Situated 15 km from the coastal town of Stilbaai, Riethuiskraal Stud rovides the perfect setting for the care and conditioning of thoroughbred horses.
This is borne out when taking a list of some of the thoroughbreds bred by Riethuiskraal -with this list headed by Horse Of The Year and exceptional producer National Colour, G1 Summer Cup winner Flirtation, SA Oaks winner Lambarina, and the remarkable Crimson Palace, who won G1 races in both South Africa and North America.

Riethuiskraal will be offering a small but quality draft of four at the 2019 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale.

Dubrovnik (Lot336) is a colt by Cartier Champion Duke Of Marmalade, the sire of more than 60 black type horses the world over. This colt, a half-brother to four winners, is out of an Anabaa ¾ sister to French G3 winner and sire Dalghar and is from the remarkable champion half-brothers Daylami and Dalakhani, who, between them won 11 G1 races!

Ellis Island (Lot 349) is a colt by Equus Champion Elusive Fort, whose progeny include such G1 performers as Siren’s Call, Lauderdale, Fort Ember and Safe Harbour. The colt on sale, closely inbred to the outstanding broodmare Elysee, is out of a winning daughter of Argentine champion and G1 winner Esperada and hails from the great “E” family.

Elusive Fort is also the sire of Naval Guard (Lot 394), with this colt out of a four time winning relative of the graded stakes winners Cyber Press and Dancing Lord.

Another proven G1 sire represented in the Riethuiskraal draft is former Equus Outstanding Stallion Judpot, whose son Victor Lazlo (Lot551) is out of a half-sister to the G2 winning dam of five time G1 winner and multiple Equus Champion Carry On Alice. This is the family of current big race contender Magnificent Seven and champion Kildonan.
