Duncan Barry’s Riverton Stud has an excellent record of selling high class racehorses at the KZN Yearling Sale.
Previous Riverton Stud consigned alumni of the KZN Sale include the likes of dual G1 winner Same Jurisdiction, G3 Umkhomazi Stakes winner Al Mariachi, Spook Express Handicap winner Sheikitupbaby, and Zimbabwean stakes winner Demagogue.

Riverton Stud, whose current high class representatives include the likes of Cirillo and Gimme One Night, will be offering four lots at this year’s KZN Yearling Sale.

Vertigo Again (Lot 119) is a filly by Equus Champion and red hot sire Vercingetorix, whose first 2yos this season include a pair of KZN Yearling Sale stakes winning graduates in African Warrior and Hooves Of Troy respectively.  This filly is a half-sister to the promising G3 performer High Voltage and her dam is a winning Captain Al full-sister to the stakes placed Captain Dino.

High class producer Kadie, whose six winners to date include the high class galloper Liquid Motion, has a Where’s That Tiger filly (Lot 140) on the sale, with this filly hailing from the immediate family of the aforementioned Sheikitupbaby.

The Riverton bred champion sprinter Captain Of All has made a very encouraging start with his first 2yos this season, and the triple G1 winner has two colts in this draft. The Captain Of All colt (Lot 211) out of the 3 time winning Greys Inn mare Pippi is from an outstanding family with his relatives including such champions Kimberley Mine, Mikki Isle and My Juliet, while his paternal half-brother (Lot 226) out of Red Eminence is a three-parts brother to multiple winner Red Al, from the family of G1 winners Potent Power, Fov’s Dancer and July winning sire Jamaican Music.
