Riethuiskraal Stud, whose past graduates include such outstanding fillies as Crimson Palace and National Colour, will be offering 11 quality yearlings at the 2019 KZN Yearling Sale. The Riethuiskraal draft includes lots by such stallions as Duke Of Marmalade, Gimmethegreenlight, Judpot, Philanthropist and Querari –all of whom have sired at least one G1 winner.

Former Equus Outstanding Stallion Judpot has two in this draft –Flying Carpet (Lot 22) is a half-brother to two winners from the family of G1 winners English Garden and Lord Shirldor, while Amplify (Lot 286) is a filly from the same Party Time family as such standout fillies as In The Fast Lane, Heaps Of Fun, Sally Bowles, Lambarina, and Consumer Credit.

Great Affair (Lot 221) is a colt by rising sire star Gimmethegreenlight (whose progeny include this season’s high class 3yos Barahin and National Park), and he is out of a half-sister to multiple champion National Colour-the dam of G1 sire Rafeef and Equus Champion Mustaaqeem.

Increasingly successful sire Querari, whose progeny include the likes of Querari Falcon, Monks Hood and Head Honcho, is the sire of Cut Glass (Lot 73) a filly from the family of champion filly and G1 producer Circle Of Life, while Alter Ego (Lot 148) is a colt from the first crop of Horse Of The Year Futura out of a  Silvano half-sister to Somerset 1200 winner Northern Frontier.

Cartier Champion and proven G1 sire Duke Of Marmalade is represented here by a colt (Lot 84) whose dam is a stakes placed daughter of champion League Title, while the very promising G1 Premier’s Champion Stakes winner Potala Palace is the sire of a half-sister (Lot 149) to the useful stakes performer Balalaika.
Former Leading US Sire on All Weather Philanthropist has two in this draft - a colt (Lot 114) whose winning dam is a half-sister to the outstanding Riethuiskraal bred filly Crimson Palace, and a filly (Lot 280) directly descended in female line from one of history’s all time great racemares –Dahlia.

The Philanthropist colt is bred on the same cross as his sire’s star son Singapore Sling.

Multiple G1 winner Linngari also has two in the Riethuiskraal draft –a filly (Lot 99) out of a Fort Wood daughter of G1 winner Fanciful, and a colt (Lot 284) whose smart dual winning dam is a full-sister to Crimson Palace, a G1 winner in both South Africa and the USA.
