Hanno Joubert’s La Berg Stud will be doubly represented at next month’s KZN Yearling Sale, which is set to be held, once again, at the lavish Sibaya Casino in KwaZulu Natal.

La Berg will be offering a pair of quality colts, with each colt a son of very successful stallion.

First of the La Berg draft on offer is Manic Mayhem (Lot 48) a son of US G1 winner and former Leading First/Second Crop Sire Visionaire.
This well related colt, a half-brother to a winner, is out of the stakes placed Blingle Bells –who won four times over 1000 metres.

Blingle Bells herself is directly descended in female line from Horse Of The Year and multiple G1 winner Enchanted Garden (also granddam of Equus Champion Dog Wood), and Manic Mayhem is bred on a similar cross to exported Cape Guineas winner Elusive Gold –who also hails from this family.

Second of the draft is Bring Me Sunshine (Lot 254), a colt by the Kingmambo sire Ideal World –also sire of such standout performers as Smart Call, Rainbow Bridge, Hermoso Mundo and Samurai Warrior.

Bring Me Sunshine, who is bred on the same Ideal World/Jet Master cross as leading Vodacom Durban July hope Rainbow Bridge, is out of a winning Jet Master daughter of Gauteng Fillies Guineas winner Pacific Blue –a full-sister to the dam of multiple graded stakes winner Super Elegant.
