TWILIGHT MOON BREEDERS OFFER FOUR AT KZN SALE
25 June 2019

Daytona Stud, whose 2018 KZN Yearling Sale alumni include this season’s high class two-year-old Twilight Moon, will be offering a quartet of quality yearlings at July’s KZN Yearling Sale.
This small but classy draft is made up of lots by such popular stallions as Coup De Grace, Flower Alley, Master Of My Fate and Twice Over, and includes yearlings from some of the best families around.
Secret Alliance (Lot 31) is a colt who shares his G1 winning sire Flower Alley with Kentucky Derby winning champion I’ll Have Another and three other G1 winners. Inbred to Sadler’s Wells, this colt is out of a full-sister to G1 SA Derby runner up Big Bad John and half-sister to Equus Champion Disco Queen. His other notable relatives include Equus Champion French Navy and recent Listed Scarlet Lady winner Miyabi Gold.
Tapit son Coup De Grace is represented here by Cape Diamond (Lot 83), a filly out of a winning Dynasty half-sister to the Daytona Stud bred millionaire and dual G2 Hawaii Stakes winner Whiteline Fever, while rising sire star Master Of My Fate is responsible for Riverside (Lot 112) a filly whose dam is a full-sister to the Daytona Stud bred globetrotter Tiza.
The latter, a truly magnificent advert for the quality and durability found in the South African thoroughbred, won 13 races with Tiza landing no fewer than six group/grades during his career.
European champion, and four time G1 winner, Twice Over is another popular stallion represented in this draft. The sire of 2018 G1 Vodacom Durban July victor Do It Again is the sire of Simply Complicated (Lot 220) a filly whose winning dam is out of a G2 winning half-sister to champion Consensual. The latter is dam of fellow Equus Champion Just Sensual –who is currently foal to the remarkable champion Frankel.

The 2019 KZN Yearling Sale will take place at the Sibaya Casino on July 4th and 5th and is not a sale any serious buyer can afford to miss!
