Nicky Barlett’s Danika Stud made waves when selling the top lot at the recent KZN Yearling Sale, and Danika will once again be represented by quality thoroughbreds at the upcoming National 2YO Sale.

Danika Stud will be offering two well bred colts at the 2019 National 2YO Sale, with both colts sired by the very exciting Galileo stallion Global View.

The latter, whose first yearlings made up to R1 300 000 this year, was a high-class performer who won graded races at both two (G3 Generous Stakes) and three (G2 American Turf Stakes) when campaigned in the USA.
By the same sire as top class sires Teofilo, Frankel, New Approach, Nathaniel, Australia and Gleneagles, the well bred Global View is out of a daughter of champion sire Storm Cat and is from the same family as champion and leading sire Storm Bird –the sire of Storm Cat!

Mondovi (Lot 36) is a colt by Global View who is from one of the best families in the stud book. His granddam is a three-parts sister to G2 Greyville 1900 winner Monet, and third dam is a three-parts sister to G1 Champion Stakes winner Amberpondo and champion Ethereal Lady.
Further back, this is the family of Met winner Arctic Cove, Horse Of The Year and multiple champion Flobayou, and champion filly Renounce.

Second in Danika’s draft is Vista Nova (Lot 320), a half-brother to multiple winner Henry Tudor. Vista Nova is out of the stakes placed Al Mufti mare Rozelana (a three-parts sister to Al Mufti sired Met winner Alastor).
Rozelana herself is a half-sister to dual G3 Lebelo Sprint winner National Flame, and to the winning dam of multiple G1 winner Eyes Wide Open, winner of the recent G2 World Sports Betting 1900. Eyes Wide Open, like Global View himself, was sired by a Sadler’s Wells line sire.

The well bred Vista Nova’s third dam is Tibouchina Stakes winner Damascus Road, and this is also the family of G1 winners Ultrasound, Wild West and Wild Ash.
