Maine Chance Farms, perennially among the leading breeders in South Africa, will be offering a quality packed draft at the 2019 Emperors Palace National 2YO Sale, with the consignment including lots by such high-class sires as Dynasty, Silvano, Querari, Duke Of Marmalade, Pomodoro, and Maine Chance’s own highly exciting stallion Vercingetorix.
Maine Chance’s multiple champion sire Silvano has three lots in this draft –a colt (Lot 192) from the family of major G1 winners St Reims, Champagne, Nathaniel, and Bonneval, a half-sister (Lot 342) to Zimbabwe Guineas winner Sygone, and a full-sister (Lot 359) to the classy, stakes placed Sylvanite.

Silvano’s exciting sire son and Equus Champion Vercingetorix is doubly represented in Maine Chance’s imposing consignment. His son One Way Or Another (Lot 277) is out of a dual winning own sister to the dam of champion Lady In Black, while Vercingetorix colt Parallax (Lot 282) is out of a winning half-sister to the dam of high class sprinter Pinnacle Peak.
Outstanding sire Dynasty, sadly now deceased, is responsible for two well brd lots –a colt (Lot 32) whose granddam is a half-sister to G1 winners Al Nitak and The Sheik, and a half-brother (Lot 78) to the smart Champery, whose relatives include G1 winners Eden’s Moon, Theatrical, David Junior, Bobby’s Kitten and Paradise Creek.

Equus Champion sprinter, and hugely promising sire, Captain Of All is the sire of a colt (Lot 52) bred on very similar lines to Cape Guineas winner and sire William Longsword, while July winner and former Leading First Crop Sire Pomodoro is the sire of a colt (Lot 227) whose granddam is a half-sister to G1 winner and champion Historic Lady.
Resident sire Querari, whose recent star gallopers include the likes of Cockney Pride and Head Honcho, has two fillies on offer namely a full-sister (Lot 27) to multiple winner Wildlife Safari, and a filly (L ot 321) out of a stakes placed half-sister to July runner up Run For It.
Yet another attractive lot in this draft is the colt (Lot 274) by Arc winner Bago’s dual G1 winning half-brother Maxios, with this colt’s first four dams all black type performers!
