Rosedene Stud will be offering a 13 strong string at the 2019 Emperors Palace National 2YO Sale in August.
Rosedene’s 2YO Sale draft includes no fewer than seven two-year-olds by Equus Champion and red-hot young stallion Vercingetorix, with the farm also offering lots by the likes of resident stallions Biarritz and Greys Inn.

First of the Vercingetorix two-year-olds on offer is a filly (Lot 67) whose dam is a winning Western Winter half-sister to graded stakes winners Royal Vintage and Alderry, with the latter dam of G1 winner Al Sahem and the promising Al Mutawakel –to the cover of Vercingetorix’s own sire Silvano.

Another by Vercingetorix is the filly (Lot 134) out of the Galileo mare Ghaliyah, with this filly’s third dam an own sister to legendary sire, sire of sires, and broodmare sire Danehill and this is also the family of history’s greatest ever sire –Northern Dancer.

Well bred Encosta De Lago mare Lady Lago, whose relatives include such outstanding gallopers as Highland Reel, Starspangledbanner, Elvstroem and Haradasun, has a Vercingetorix filly (Lot 203) on offer, as does Minwa (Lot 248).  The latter is a full-sister to UAE Derby winner and champion Asiatic Boy with Minwa a direct descendant of the great broodmare Alanesian.

Former Jebel Hatta winner Vercingetorix is also the sire of a colt (Lot 268) from the same female line as unbeaten G1 winner and successful sire Reset, and a colt (Lot 273), closely inbred to the mighty Miesque –from the family of Miesque herself as well as champion Alpha Centauri, French Derby hero Study Of Man, and Breeders’ Cup winners Karakontie and Six Perfections.

Already sire of the likes of African Warrior, Viking Moon and Hooves Of Troy, Vercingetorix is also responsible for a filly (Lot 382) out of a stakes placed daughter of outstanding sire and broodmare sire Giant’s Causeway.

Other lots of interest in Rosedene’s draft include a Greys Inn colt (Lot 65) whose dam is a three-parts sister to Equus Champion Bad Girl Runs, a Greys Inn colt (Lot 146) out of G3 Camellia Stakes winner Hale Sapieha, and the Greys Inn colt (Lot 276) out of Ladies Mile winner Ocean Of Time.
