David Southey’s Southford Stud, a long-time supporter of the National 2YO Sale, will be offering eight two-year-olds at the upcoming Emperors Palace National 2YO Sale.
Top Honours (Lot 26) is a filly by July Cup runner up and prolific sire of winners Main Aim, and this filly, out of a winning daughter of champion sire Fort Wood, is a half-sister to 3 winners, who between them won 13 races.
Summer Sport (Lot 335) is another filly in this draft sired by Main Aim, and this filly is out of a mare who won five from the family of high-class fillies Printemp and Pecan Nut.

Champion, and former Leading First Crop Sire, Lateral has two lots in the Southford draft. Surety (Lot 86) is a filly whose dam is a winning Elliodor half-sister to the dam of Equus Champion Tara’s Touch, while  Line Up (Lot 374) is a half-sister to 2 winners including the useful, G3 placed Felicity Flyer.
Former Prince Of Wales’s Stakes winner Byword, whose progeny includes G1 winner Camphoratus, is the sire of Jenny’s Word (Lot 176), a well related half-sister to talented stakes performer Super Good, while London House (Lot 221) is a colt from the very first crop of exciting Galileo sire Global View. London House himself is out of a mare who won three and he hails from the family of graded winners Caughtintheslips and Doosra.
The Pivotal sired dual Guineas winner Noordhoek Flyer (now deceased) has fillies lots on offer. His daughter Quick Run (Lot 371) is a full or half-sister to 6 winners, and this filly’s third dam is an own sister to Paddock Stakes winner My Magic. Wind Charger (Lot 372) is bred on very similar lines to Quick Run, with this Noordhoek Flyer filly also hailing from the family of G1 winners Main Man and My Magic.
