Jill Fox’s The Fort Stud will be offering six quality two-year-olds at this year’s Emperors Palace National 2YO Sale later this month.

The Fort Stud’s draft (which offers three lots as Agent) includes lots by the likes of Byword, Capetown Noir, Crusade, Just As Well and Toreador.
Fort Rose (Lot 104) is a filly by short-lived G1 Middle Park Stakes winner Crusade, and this filly is out of a dual winning Dynasty half-sister to the dam of G2 K R A Guineas third Corredor. Further back, this is the family of recent G3 Poinsettia Stakes winner Freedom Charter as well as July winning champion Gondolier.

Just As Well, whose progeny include Just Chaos, Just Cruised In and Chili Con Carne, is represented by Just Utopia (Lot 180) –a colt who like Fort Rose is from the family of Gondolier, while Mikemma (Lot 93) is a daughter of G1 Irish Champion Stakes runner up Traffic Guard from a highly successful South American female line.

The much missed Toreador, whose progeny include the G1 winners Bull Valley and Link Man, is the sire of Flamenco Star (Lot 232), a filly closely inbred to the great sire Danehill, while Baby Africa (Lot 35) is a filly by Equus Champion, and hugely promising young sire, Capetown Noir out of a winning Jet Master half-sister to the stakes placed African Rhythm.

Fair (Lot 391) is a filly by Byword, whose progeny includes G1 winner, and Equus Award nominee, Camphoratus. This filly is out of a mare who won, and she is from the same female line as graded stakes winners Artfully and Rizzi.
