The venerable Oldlands Stud, breeders of such high-class performers as English Garden, Rocket Countdown, Go Indigo, Sanshaawes, and Astro News, will be offering an exceptionally well bred filly at the 2019 Emperors Palace Ready To Run Sale this November.

Var Rising (Lot 31) is, as her name suggests, a daughter of prominent sire, and dual leading sire of two-year-olds, Var –whose daughters include the likes of Equus Champions Val De Ra and Via Africa as well as G1 South African Fillies Sprint winner Sommerlied. An increasingly successful broodmare sire, Var is also responsible for such notable graded stakes winning fillies Exquisite Touch, Miss October,  Princess Of Light, Schippers, and Valdivia.

A full-sister to a R4 000 000 buy, Var Rising is a half or full-sister to three winners, with her siblings including the talented G3 Final Fling Stakes winner Cat And The Moon, who earned well over R500 000 during her racing career.

Var Rising’s dam Earn A Moon is herself a half-sister to two top-class stakes winners, including G1 Daily News 2000 runner up and durable Dubai campaigner Lucky Find.
Further back, this is the family of Equus Champions Jay Peg and Kochka, as well as dual Hawaii Stakes winner Whiteline Fever and last season’s high-class two-year-old Twilight Moon.
