The beautiful Cape farm, Soetendal Estate will be offering a very well related two-year-old at the upcoming Emperors Palace Ready To Run Sale in Germiston this November.

Dusted Donut (Lot 26) is a bay son of triple G1 winner, and Equus Champion Captain Of All –himself a son of multiple champion sire Captain Al.

Captain Of All, one of the fastest horses to grace the South African turf in many a year, made a smashing start with his first two-year-olds last season, and ended the country’s Leading First Crop Sire, by prize money, for 2018-2019. His early winners include the stakes winners What You Are and Captain Anne Bonny, as well as the likes of Self Assured, Indy Go, Shango, Rainbow Unicorn and Cartel Captain.

His son Dusted Donut hails from one of the most potent families in the South African studbook –and a family which is red hot at the moment.
The colt is out of Crème Caramel –an Ideal World half-sister to classy stakes performer Seattle Flame

Dusted Donut’s granddam Forsythia, a daughter of Fort Wood’s G2 Gold Circle Oaks winning daughter Carolina Cherry, is a winning full-sister to G3 Jacaranda Handicap heroine Cherry On The Cake, and a half-sister to Equus Champion and Triple Tiara winner Cherry On The Top.

Both Cherry On The Cake and Cherry On The Top are enjoying success at stud, with Cherry On The Cake responsible for last season’s impressive debut winner Summer Pudding, and her G1 winning half-sister dam of both Blossom and Seventh Gear.

One of the better members of her generation, Blossom was second in last season’s G2 Wilgerbosdrift SA Oaks, and finished third in both the G1 SA Fillies Classic, and G1 Woolavington 2000 in 2019.

Her promising half-brother Seventh Gear (by Captain Of All’s very own sire Captain Al) made a big impression when winning smartly second time out, and hopes are high for this R4.75 million yearling purchase!
