One of South Africa’s leading nurseries, Lammerskraal Stud, will be offering three classy fillies at the 2020 Cape Yearling Sale.

Consistently among South Africa’s leading breeders, Lammerskraal’s string this year is made up of yearlings sired by Red Ray, Visionaire and Wylie Hall, and all three fillies hail from top families.

Multiple G1 winning Redoute’s Choice sire Wylie Hall is the sire of Addiena (Lot 12), a filly whose Western Winter sired dam is out of the smart stakes performer Astral Athina, and further back, this is the family of Equus Champion National Bay as well as such notable stakes winners as Cymbeline, Juan Two Three and East Cape Champion Widow’s Lamp.

The Lammerskraal Stud bred G1 winner Red Ray is represented here by Signal Risk (Lot 42), a filly out of a four time winning half-sister to Derby Trial runner up Stebbins and the dam of Racing Association Stakes winning filly Just Chaos. This is also the immediate family of the Lammerskraal bred Horse Of The Year, and five time G1 winner Yard-Arm –who, like Red Ray, was sired by the farm’s late sire Western Winter.

Lammerskraal’s G1 winning, and G1 producing, sire Visionaire is represented by Take Control (Lot 27). This regally bred filly is out of Zimbabwean superstar Control Freak, and her siblings include a pair of stakes horses, notably G1 Allan Robertson Championship runner up Cavivar. Take Control is also from an excellent family, with her relatives also including top sprinter Bull Valley and Horse Of The Year Model Man.
