Jan Mantel’s Millstream Farm will be offering six yearlings, three on behalf of Rathmor Stud, at this year’s Cape Yearling Sale.

The Millstream draft includes yearlings by the likes of Futura, Pathfork, and Red Ray, while resident sire Noble Tune has two lots in this draft.
Irish champion Pathfork has been in great form of late, with his recent flagbearers including such graded stakes winners as Jet Start and Cape Sale buy Mr Flood, and the G1 winning son of Distorted Humor is represented here by a colt (Lot 57) whose dam won six and whose granddam is a half-sister to top sprinter Super Home.
Horse Of The Year Futura is the sire of a filly (Lot 95) whose dam is a four time winning daughter of multiple champion Australian sire Fastnet Rock, while Futura’s triple G1 winning paternal half-brother Jackson is the sire of a colt (Lot 117) out of a four time winning full-sister to G1 Empress Club Stakes winner Little Miss Magic –dam of millionaire Miss Katalin.

Red Aura (Lot 33) is a colt from the first crop of the Western Winter sired G1 Mercury Sprint winner Red Ray, and this colt is out of a full-sister to champion Mother Russia and is from the same family as Horse Of The Year Winter Solstice (by Western Winter).
Unbridled’s Song’s Breeders’ Cup runner up Noble Tune has two in Millstream’s draft –Tappas (Lot 23) is a half-sister to Laisserfaire Stakes winner Victoria Lavelle, while Waiting For Summer (Lot 149) is a colt out of a Dynasty half-sister to G2 winner Royal Champ.
