The Hemel ‘N Aarde based Nadeson Park Stud will be offering a large, quality draft at this year’s Cape Yearling Sale.
Their draft is dominated by Zeditave Stakes winner Time Thief, who is responsible for 11 of the 13 yearlings catalogued in the Nadeson Park draft. A son of multiple champion sire Redoute’s Choice, and himself already sire of outstanding Australian G1 winner In Her Time, Time Thief has made a pleasing start to his stud career in South Africa. From 21 first crop runners, Time Thief’s eight winners include G1 performers Macthief and Yessiricanboogie, as well as the talented Sir Caleb.

Rockingthetimeaway (Lot 43) is a Time Thief filly from the immediate family of Irish 2000 Guineas winner Roderic O’Connor, while the sire’s Ixesha (Lot 58) is a colt from the family of champion Tara’s Touch and fellow G1 winners Little Miss Magic, Bilateral, and Priceless Asset.

Var’s four time winning daughter Lydia Lopokovo has a Time Thief filly (Lot 91) on sale, as does Horse Of The Year Celtic Grove’s close relative Nunavik (Lot 111).

Jet For Time (Lot 72) is a Time Thief filly from the family of champion Special Preview, while the sire also has a smart sort in the form of Clean Slate (Lot 102) –a colt out of a daughter of Lady’s Pendant winner Servilia.
Time Thief, however, is not the only sire represented in this draft. Globetrotting champion Jay Peg is the sire of Guard Of Honour (Lot 132) –a filly whose winning dam is an Exceed And Excel half-sister to German G2 winner Mokabra, while former July winner and leading first crop sire Pomodoro is responsible for Red Carpet Girl (Lot 143). The latter is a filly from the same family as legendary South African champion Aquanaut and SA Derby hero Agitator.
The 2020 Cape Yearling Sale is set to take place at the Mistico Equestrian Centre on February 28th, and the catalogue can be viewed online at
