John Everett’s Narrow Creek Stud has been a regular and loyal vendor at the Cape Sale over the years, and Narrow Creek will once again be offering a quality draft at this year’s Cape Yearling Sale.

Narrow Creek, whose alumni include the likes of Dutch Philip, Elusive Heart and Pinnacle Peak, will be offering yearlings by What A Winter, Elusive Fort Querari –the sires of the aforementioned gallopers-at the 2020 Cape Yearling Sale.

Inform Cape Derby winner Jackson, sire of current high-class 3yos Pretty Young Thing, Pure State and Count Jack, is represented by If You Please (Lot 17) –a filly whose winning dam is a three-parts sister to multiple G1 winner and Equus Champion Val De Ra (dam of talented stakes winner Miss Frankel).

Ever popular sire Querari, whose growing list of stakes winning progeny include the Narrow Creek Stud bred top sprinter Pinnacle Peak, has two lots in this draft. The filly (Lot 71) out of Island Empress is a half-sister to two winners and is from the same family as exported Equus Champion Yorker, while Homely Girl (Lot 134) is a filly out of a winning daughter of Silvano, and her granddam is a full-sister to Gauteng Fillies Guineas winner Pacific Blue.

Elusive Heart’s triple G1 winning sire Elusive Fort has two fillies in Narrow Creek’s draft –Sprinkles (Lot 73) is a filly out of a 3 time winning sister to the stakes placed Georgia On My Mind, while the filly (Lot 103) out of Motherless is out of a half-sister to Starling Stakes winner Kiribati.

Both Elusive Fort fillies hail from the family of the aforementioned Yorker as well as G1 winning two-year-old Manipur.

Inform Irish champion Pathfork’s son Back To You (Lot 151) is out a mare bred on similar lines to champion, and successful sire, National Emblem, while the ever-popular What A Winter, sire of, among others, the Narrow Creek reared Dutch Philip, is responsible for a filly (Lot 158) from the family of Met winner Alastor and Cape Derby winner Eyes Wide Open.
