The Wellington based Ndoro Stud will be offering a six strong draft at this year’s Cape Yearling Sale, with Ndoro’s draft headed by yearlings by such exciting stallions as Elusive Fort, Global View, Legislate and Soft Falling Rain.

Promising young Galileo horse Global View, already the sire of three impressive first crop winners, is represented in this draft by a colt (Lot 3) out of a half-sister to multiple stakes winner Silver Nun, with this colt’s granddam a half-sister to the dam of G1 winning champion Bold Ellinore.

Champion, and proven G1 sire, Elusive Fort has two in the Ndoro draft –the colt (Lot 16) out of G1 SA Derby winner Bouquet-Garni’s own sister Bay Leaf hails from the family of Danehill and Northern Dancer, while the Elusive Fort filly (Lot 105) out of winning Go Deputy mare Music Pass is a half-sister to two winners as well as last year’s Ready To Run sale topper Castle On The Hill. This filly is from the same family as Equus Champion Capetown Noir, as well as this season’s exciting three-year-old, and recent G3 Sea Cottage Stakes winner, Green Laser.

Short-lived champion Soft Falling Rain is the sire of a filly (Lot 92) whose winning dam is a Dynasty half-sister to Storm Bird Stakes runner up Carlito Brigante, while the record breaking Horse Of The Year Legislate has a filly (Lot 98) out of a  winning half-sister to game front runner, and G2 Premier Trophy victor, Milton.

Triple G1 winner Jackson, like Legislate a son of the great Dynasty, is also represented in Ndoro’s Cape Sale draft. The former Cape Derby winner is the sire of a filly (Lot 118) whose dam is a half-sister to high-class fillies White Mischief and Miss Mischief, and further back, this is the family of US G1 winning filly Citronnade.

The 2020 Cape Yearling Sale is set to take place at the Mistico Equestrian Centre on February 28th, and the catalogue can be viewed online at www.bsa.co.za
