Normandy Stud, breeders of such outstanding performers as Winter Solstice, Mother Russia, Aquanaut, and Sergeant Hardy, will be offering a string of seven at this year’s Cape Yearling Sale in February.

This attractive looking draft includes yearlings by such high-class and popular stallions as Master Of My Fate, Querari, Vercingetorix and What A Winter –and is a must-see for all serious buyers.

Querari, South Africa’s Leading Sire of 2Yos in 2018-2019, is the sire of a colt (Lot 126) whose winning dam is a half-sister to the dam of recent Swallow Stakes winner Sarah. This colt’s dam is by Windrush and is from the immediate family of the Normandy bred, and Windrush sired, champion Mother Russia.

Multiple champion sprinter What A Winter is the sire of a very speedily bred colt (Lot 140), whose dam is a half-sister to the G1 winning sprinter Sergeant Hardy, while red hot young sire Vercingetorix is the sire of a filly (Lot 176) from the same family as top fillies In The Fast Lane, Lambarina, Consumer Credit and Sally Bowles.

Admiral Kitten, the only son of champion sire Kitten’s Joy at stud in South Africa, has a colt (Lot 154) out of a winning half-sister to G2 Charity Mile winner Bezanova, while promising young stallion Master Of My Fate (sire of this season’s top class filly Driving Miss Daisy) is the sire of a half-sister (Lot 20) to the stakes placed filly Rush Hour Girl.
The Dynasty sired Cape Derby winner Jackson has been enjoying a great run with his three-year-olds this season, and the Smart Strike relative is represented here by half-brother (Lot 85) to current smart filly Fleeced.

Potala Palace, whose current 3yo crop include the graded stakes winners Palace Of Dreams and Singforafa, has a filly (Lot 94) whose dam is a winning half-sister to G3 Pretty Polly Stakes winner Ethics, and this filly hails from the same family as Summer Cup winner Tilbury Fort among others.
