Rennie Price’s Wicklow Stud will be offering two high-class yearlings at the 2020 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale.

Interestingly, both Wicklow’s National Sale yearlings hail from the same female line, with both yearlings produced by daughters of Kenmare Belle!

Promising young Galileo horse Global View, already the sire of first-crop winners Delicasea, Global Drummer and Fireview, is represented in Wicklow’s draft by a colt (Lot 33) whose dam Ballymaloe is a Var half-sister to Allez France Handicap winner Limerick. The latter, in turn, is dam of short-lived G1 Cape Guineas winner Noah From Goa as well as the smart, stakes placed five time winner Dunraven.

Ballymaloe also numbers outstanding Australian Taj Eclipse as her granddam, with Taj Eclipse, also third dam of G1 Caulfield Cup hero Fawkner, having triumped in the G1 VRC Oaks.

Ballymaloe’s half-sister Rose Of Tralee, best known as the dam of brilliant G2 Al Rashidiya winner Forries Waltz, is also represented in this draft, with Rose Of Tralee the dam of a filly (Lot 364) sired by deceased top stallion Dynasty.

The latter shares his sire Fort Wood with Limerick, which makes the filly in question very closely related indeed to the dam of the Cape Guineas winning Noah From Goa.

Kenmare Belle, a daughter of top sire and broodmare sire Kenmare, is herself from an outstanding family with her third dam being oustanding racemare, and former G1 Gold Cup winner, Gladness –dam of, among others, former Irish Oaks winner Merry Mate.
