Cartier Champion Duke Of Marmalade, whose progeny include such G1 standouts as Big Orange, Simple Verse and Star Of Seville, is the sire of Earl Of Cardigan (Lot 133), a half-brother to 4 winners including the very useful Emily Hobhouse, and this colt is from the same family as such champions as Empress Club, Ecurie, Elusive Fort, Eventuail and Escoleta Fitz, with his dam bred on similar lines to multiple G1 winning sire Rio De La Plata.

Prominent sire Querari, South Africa's Leading Sire of 2Yos in 2018-2019, is represented here by a blue blooded filly (Lot 291) named Mandalay. This filly is out of lightning fast G3 Tommy Hotspur Handicap winner Mocha Java, herself a half-sister to G2 Camellia Stakes victress Mochachino, and further back, this is the family of July winner Hunting Tower and breed shaping stallion Fappiano.

Other attractive lots in this draft include the Coup De Grace filly Natasha Rostov (Lot 431), whose dam is a half-sister to the G2 winning dam of champion filly Carry On Alice, and the well related Vercingetorix filly Ancient Epic (Lot 437). The latter is a daughter of East Cape Fillies Nursery winner The Black Rose, already dam of the smart filly The Boston Rose (by Vercingetorix's sire Silvano), with The Black Rose herself being a half-sister to speedy stakes winner Chiquita.
