WILGERBOSDRIFT OFFER TOP DRAFT AT 2YO SALE

 

Wilgerbosdrift will be offering a high-class draft at the upcoming Emperors Palace National 2YO Sale.

 

The farm, whose past graduates of this sale include Cape Guineas winner Noah From Goa, SA Derby victor Out Of Your League, and champion Asylum Seeker, will be offering two-year-olds sired by all of Flower Alley, Rafeef, Silvano, Soft Falling Rain and Var at this years two day auction.

 

The aforementioned Derby winner Out Of Your League has a Soft Falling Rain half-brother (Lot 185) by the name of Zeus on offer. The well bred Zeus, whose granddam is the multiple stakes winner Bacio, also numbers Gold Cup runner up Paybackthemoney as a half-brother.

 

His short-lived sire Soft Falling Rain, whose other progeny include the likes of Montreal Mist, World Radar and Pray For Rain, has two other lots in this draft. Bonanza (Lot 188) is a colt whose Fort Wood sired dam is a winning half-sister to Gerald Rosenberg Stakes winner Trophy Wife, while Soft Spot (Lot 366), a colt bred on the same cross as Montreal Mist and Pray For Rain, hails from the same family as US champion Roving Boy.

 

Multiple champion sire Silvano, whose recent flagbearers include the likes of Hawwaam, Kilindini and Summer Pudding, is the sire of Lord Heathfield (Lot 100), a colt out of a dual G1 winning half-sister to unbeaten Richmond Stakes winning sire Harbour Watch, while the ever popular Var, sire of current champion filly Anything Goes among others, is responsible for a colt (Lot 155) bred on the same cross as G1 winners Rivarine and Vardy with this colt hailing from the same family as champion sprinter Laisserfaire.

 

Computaform Sprint winner Rafeef has two members of his first crop on offer -Beaded Gown (Lot 111) is a filly out of a winning half-sister to former record yearling sale buy and G3 Peninsula Handicap winner Wonder Lawn, while Positive Attitude (Lot 183) is a colt whose dam is a full-sister to dual G1 winner Hard Buck.

 

The farms resident sire Flower Alley has been in good form this season, with his flagbearers including the top-class filly Princess Calla, and Flower Alley has five lots in Wilgerbosdrifts draft. They include Dianthus Amurensis (Lot 11) a colt out of G3 Acacia Handicap winner Amur Affair, Lions Tail (Lot 22), a full-brother to the smart Rock Aloe, and Wisteria Avenue (Lot 342). The latter is a filly out of a 12 time winning half-sister to Dubai star Asiatic Boy and is from the same family as champion US filly Revidere.
