A NEW HORIZON FOR HEMEL ‘N AARDE STUD

Hemel ‘N Aarde Stud is home to one of the best bred young stallions in South Africa, in the form of Horizon.

The latter, a record priced yearling, showed top-class form at three when Horizon ranked among the best of his generation.

Not only did the handsome Horizon capture the G3 Politician Stakes of his year, he also ran third, to G1 standouts Edict Of Nantes and Al Sahem, in the 2017 G1 Daily News 2000.

The impeccably bred Horizon, whose dam is a full-sister to multiple champion sire Silvano, shares his outstanding, and much missed, sire Dynasty with such classy sires as Act Of War, Legislate and Futura, to name but a few.

Hemel ‘N Aarde will be offering two members of Horizon’s eagerly awaited first crop at this year’s KZN Yearling Sale.

The winning More Than Ready mare Big Sugar has a Horizon colt (Lot 92) on sale, while G1 Allan Robertson Fillies Championship winner Geepee S’s half-sister Ginger Cat has a filly (Lot 153) by Horizon on offer.

The farm will also be offering yearlings by the likes of Selangor Cup winner Gold Standard, the sensational Rafeef, and Twice Over -who has enjoyed such a fantastic season this year.

Hemel ‘N Aarde will also be acting as agent on behalf of the Alado Project, who are bringing an Alado colt to the KZN auction this year.

Hemel ‘N Aarde’s string for this year’s KZN Yearling Sale can be viewed in Blocks B and C at the Suncoast Casino in Durban.
