Ambiance Stud, the breeders of such high-class thoroughbreds as Alastor, Al Nitak, Cataloochee, Cockney Pride, Sarabade and The Sheik, will be offering five quality yearlings at the 2021 Cape Yearling Sale.
The draft is made up of yearlings sired by a range of different stallions namely Jackson, Master Of My Fate, Pathfork, Time Thief and Wylie Hall.
Triple G1 winner Jackson, whose progeny include the likes of Pretty Young Thing, Count Jack and Baby Shooz, is represented here by a half-brother (Lot 6) to two smart winners namely G3 Champion Juvenile Cup runner up Dark Force and the progressive filly Elusive Force.
The Redoute’s Choice horse Time Thief, whose progeny include the outstanding Australian racemare In Her Time, is represented in this draft by a filly (Lot 112), whose dam is a winning Pathfork half-sister to champion sprinter Cataloochee, while Irish champion Pathfork’s sole representative here is the filly (Lot 141) whose dam is a five time winning daughter of leading sire Var.
Var, already broodmare sire of champion Tempting Fate, is also the broodmare sire of the Wylie Hall colt (Lot 150), whose dam is a winning own sister to the stakes winning siblings Le Var and Winter Passion, while Tempting Fate’s increasingly successful sire Master Of My Fate is responsible for a colt (Lot 169), intriguingly inbred to Rakeen, whose granddam is none other than G1 Paddock Stakes winner Angelina.
This year’s Cape Yearling Sale will, once again, be held at the Mistico Equestrian Centre, situated between Durbanville and Paarl, and the catalogue can be viewed online at www.bsa.co.za
