BEAUMONT, BENMARNE BRING QUALITY TO NATIONAL SALES

Anton Shepherd’s Beaumont Stud, forever famed as the breeders of the mighty Variety Club, continue to churn out winners with the farm’s latest flagbearer the very smart sprinter Trompie and promising filly Global Thunder.

Beaumont will be bringing two smashing colts to the 2023 National Yearling Sale, one being a colt from the first crop of Met winning champion One World and the other a son of the very much inform stallion Pathfork.

Anton Shepherd

Anton is very pleased with his two lots and says of them:

Lot 132: c One World – Vanilla Twilight
I thought he was my best foal born last year, a real absolute ringer for his father, also being a 20/20 mating! I rate this mare as one of the best on the farm -she has had a multiple juvenile stakes winner by Wylie Hall and a winner in Hong Kong who has won over R4 million in stakes. He is from the Let Kiss family, moves like a dream, and I think he will be one serious race horse!

Lot 390: c Pathfork – Neala
Only Pathfork on the sale, he is the first foal of a 6-time winning mare, very well-balanced high quality, correct colt who looks speedy and early from a great family. This colt on Goldmine is a perfect mating! He looks like he can run, the father could run and certainly gets them to run, all ages all distances, dam won six and the computer makes him a good thing ! Ticks all the blocks.

Beaumont Stud’s two yearlings can be found at Block A at the TBA Complex in Germiston.

The Botha family’s Benmarne Stud will also be bringing a small but smart draft to this year’s National Yearling Sale.

This string is made up of lots sired by Global View, Heavenly Blue and the ever successful Querari.
Benmarne Stud have already enjoyed plenty of success with the progeny of Querari, having bred G1 winner Querari Falcon and G2 Gauteng Guineas winner Monks Hood by that sire.

Arne Botha has a few personal preferences with his standout lots as follows:

Lot 281: Solar Sail c Querari – Fly Rebecca Fly
This is a very precocious colt, who is well balanced, strong boned and is a good mover.

Lot 118: Tucannon Blue c Heavenly Blue – The Widow’s Club
He is a scopey, big colt who is strong boned. He is also very forward and mature. It was great to see Heavenly Blue get off the mark with an impressive recent winner in the form of Zinovi.

Lot 72: Kaleesh Cyborg c Global View – She’s A Dragon
This very well-balanced colt has good legs and is a great walker.

Benmarne’s string for the 2023 National Sale can be viewed from Block B at the TBA Complex.
