Black Swan Stud, home to Equus Champion and successful sire Elusive Fort, will be offering, as agent, a quality quartet of yearlings at the 2024 Cape Yearling Sale.
This draft is made up of yearlings sired by Canford Cliffs, Captain Of All and the aforementioned Elusive Fort, with the latter doubly represented in the Black Swan consignment.
Star miler Canford Cliffs, whose offspring have earned over $38 million in prize money, is represented here by a filly (Lot 58) whose Listed Sweet Chestnut Stakes winning dam Golden Dawn is a half-sister to G1 winning filly Chestnuts N Pearls. A direct descendant of the wonderful Party Time, this filly’s numerous high-class relatives include champions In The Fast Lane, Let’s Rock’N Roll and Trademark (the latter, like Golden Dawn, was sired by Goldmark).
The Quaich (Lot 9), a colt by champion sprinter Captain Of All, is a half-brother to the very smart filly What A Honey, and his dam African Honey is a Silvano half-sister to G3 Caradoc Gold Cup winner African Adventure.
Sire of such high-class performers as Kommetdieding, Siren’s Call and Lauderdale, to name but three, Elusive Fort has two colts in Black Swan’s Cape Yearling Sale draft. He is responsible for a colt (Lot 22) out of a winning own-sister to G3 Track And Ball Oaks winner Zante and three-parts sister to the classy dual stakes winner Helen’s Ideal, as well as a full-brother to the smart filly Sun At Midnight.
This draft can be found in Block A at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth in the days leading up to the Cape Sale.
