Bosworth Farm Stud have bred numerous top-class horses over the years, including former G1 Vodacom Durban July winner and Equus Champion Heavy Metal, and buyers have the chance to acquire their own Heavy Metal at this year’s November Two Year Old Sale, where Bosworth will be offering six well related two-year-olds.
All six two-year-olds in this draft were sired by Bosworth’s late resident sire Skitt Skizzle, who did extremely well from limited opportunities. A son of seven times champion South African sire Jet Master, Skitt Skizzle never covered large books of mares, but still managed to sire Castle Tankard winner True Beauty, G3 Sycamore Sprint queen Tropic Sun, Listed Bauhinia Handicap runner up May Queen, Secretariat Stakes winner Cordillera and R800 000 plus earner Tierra Del Fuego.
Neil Orford had the following to say about the standout lots in Bosworth’s November Sale draft:
Lot 8 Khichdi c Skitt Skizzle – Quinoa
This colt is a full brother to Secretariat Stakes winner Cordillera
Lot 108 Flying Lead Change f Skitt Skizzle – Flying Change
This filly is out of a Silvano mare, and this cross produced Castle Tankard winner True Beauty
Lot 127 Trail Compass f Skitt Skizzle – Inca Trail
Her dam is a half sister to Topa Inca one of few to win the Dingaans, Administrators Classic and SA Derby
Lot 65 Heart to Heart c Skitt Skizzle – Beating Heart
This colt is from the Heavy Metal dam line
Buyers can find Bosworth Farm Stud’s November Sale draft in Block A at the TBA Complex in Germiston.
