A pair of Bloodstock South Africa sold three-year-olds stamped themselves as hugely exciting prospects when winning Friday’s G3TAB4Racing Fillies Mile at Turffontein and Saturday’s G2 Cape Punters Cup at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth on Saturday.
Classy filly Emirate Gina made it three wins in a row when she stormed home to win Saturday’s TAB4Racing Fillies Mile under a well timed ride from Raymond Danielson.
The Roy Magner trained sophomore claimed the first graded stakes win of her career when landing the 2022 Fillies Mile by three-parts of a length, while accounting for the promising Flower Alley filly None Other.
Bred by Lammerskraal Stud, Emirate Gina has now won three of eight starts for her owners Mrs J Callaghan & Messrs Magner & Robinson.
Emirate Gina, who was a R250 000 buy from the 2021 National Yearling Sale, is a daughter of successful Grand Slam horse Visionaire and Listed Sun Classique Handicap queen Dubai Gina, herself a daughter of former star miler Dubai Destination.

Riyo Stud have bred a real champion in the form of Cousin Casey and that Vercingetorix once again showed his class when he stormed home to win Saturday’s G2 Cape Punters Cup, one of the Cape’s traditional preps for the Cape Guineas.
