The Cape based farm’s November Sale string is made up of lots sired by all of the recently deceased Jay Peg, The United States, Time Thief and the always popular What A Winter.
One potential standout in this quality consignment is the full-sister (Lot 29) to the top-class filly Celestial Love, a winner of both the G3 World Sports Betting Man O’War Sprint and G2 4Racing Camellia Stakes season. A daughter of leading sire What A Winter, the filly in question is out of the twice winning Leylani, a half-sister to Gold Cup runner up and G3 Lonsdale Stirrup Cup winner, Balance Sheet.
What A Winter has four other two-year-olds in this draft, including a full-brother (Lot 4) to the useful Travel In Style, a half-sister (Lot 78) to dual graded stakes winner Shango and millionaire Captain And Master, and a colt (Lot 82) from the immediate family of triple South African Horse Of The Year Pocket Power.
The United States, whose very first runner was the brilliant Sheela, is represented in Hemel ‘N Aarde’s November Sale string by a colt (Lot 26) whose dam is a Silvano half-sister to 3 black type winners notably G1 Summer Cup hero Liege and promising sire Lance.
Time Thief, whose progeny include dual Australian G1 winner In Her Time and smart local gallopers Macthief and Retallick, has a full-brother (Lot 12) to useful filly Yessiricanboogie on the sale, while globetrotting champion Jay Peg is represented here by Literal Image (Lot 93) -a filly out of an own sister to the Oaks winning Cyber Cento.
Hemel ‘N Aarde will also be offering, on behalf of the Alado Project, an Alado full-sister (Lot 104) to the useful Bronco Blitz, with this filly out of a dual winning daughter of top stallion Var.
