COMPUTAFORM SPRINT WINNERS TO STAR IN HEMEL ‘N AARDE’S NATIONAL DRAFT

The Hemel ‘N Aarde Stud will be bringing a high-quality draft to this year’s National Yearling Sale. With stallions such as Fire Away, Gimmethegreenlight, Hawwaam, Master Of My Fate, Rafeef and What A Winter all represented, this draft is bound to hold plenty of appeal for discerning buyers. The inform Rafeef has two yearlings in this offering, headed by Celestial Rocket (Lot 86) a colt out of the speedy G2 Southern Cross Stakes third placegetter Celestial Storm. The latter was sired by multiple Equus Champion What A Winter, whose current flagbearers include the likes of Mid Winter Wind and Winter Greeting. The son of Western Winter has four lots in Hemel ‘N Aarde’s draft including a half-sister (Lot 28) to G2 Hawaii Stakes winner Zouaves and current smart performer Zinovi, a half-brother (Lot 107) to East Cape star And We Danced, and a full-brother (Lot 216) to multiple graded stakes winner Celestial Love.

South Africa’s reigning champion sire Gimmethegreenlight is the sire of Soho Heartthrob (Lot 189), a colt out of a three time winning granddaughter of Fastnet Rock, and this colt’s third dam is high-class Australian G3 winner Will Fly, while champion Hawwaam’s first crop includes a colt (Lot 239) out of a half-sister to the triple graded stakes winning dam of G1 Schweppes Majorca Stakes/G1 HSH Princess Charlene Empress Club Stakes winner Desert Miracle.
