CONNEMARA’S COLT ONE TO WATCH!

Connemara Stud’s Paul and Lindi Garlicki will be bringing a single two-year-old to this year’s August Two Year Old Sale, but this colt looks sure to hold plenty of appeal.

Already named Knights Watch (Lot 33), the colt is a son of multiple Equus Champion, and now leading sire What A Winter. The latter, South Africa’s Leading Sire of 2YOs in 2020-2021,  with What A Winter responsible for more than twenty two-year-old winners during the season, as well as siring the graded stakes winners Celestial Love and Winter Smoke.

His son Knights Watch is a half-brother to three winners, notably Dahlia Plate winner Joking and eight time scorer Jambamman.

His dam Jambalaya is a Silvano half-sister to G3 winner Philonikon and his granddam is a stakes winning daughter of French classic winner, and champion sire Green Dancer.

This is an outstanding family, with its members including 2000 Guineas victor Nonoalco, leading sire Malibu Moon, and G1 winning two-year-olds Macoumba and Maximova (the latter sired by Green Dancer).

The 2021 August Two Year Old Sale is set to take place at the TBA complex on Germiston on August 20th and 21st, and the catalogue can be viewed online at www.bsa.co.za
