Deep Impact horse Danon Platina made a cracking start with his first two-year-olds last season, and the Japanese champion is represented here by Beartic (Lot 42), a flashy grey colt whose dam is a half-sister to G3 Politician Stakes winner Blaze Of Noon.

Proven sire Go Deputy, whose progeny include Triple Crown winner Abashiri as well as the likes of Changingoftheguard, Flying Ice and Royal Badge, has three on offer. His trio includes Fa So La Ti Do (Lot 25), a filly from the same female line as such breed shaping stallions as Danehill and Machiavellian, and Deputy Ranger (Lot 165). The latter, a filly whose twice winning dam is a close relative of G2 WSB 1900 winner Elusive Silva, hails from the same “E” family as such star fillies as Ecurie, Epoque and the mighty Empress Club to name but three.

New Approach’s multiple graded stakes winning son, the sadly now deceased, New Predator got off to a flying start with his early runners, and he is represented here by Syrax (Lot 91), a well bred filly whose third dam is a full-sister to none other than breed shaping sire Green Desert. A direct descendant of outstanding broodmare Courtly Dee, Syrax also hails from the same female line as champion filly Althea, and Breeders’ Cup winning filly Covfefe.
