Rathmor Stud (Pty) Ltd will be bringing some very well related two-year-olds by exciting young sire Declarationofpeace to the 2024 August Two Year Old Sale.
A son of War Front, also sire of both Fire Away and Lancaster Bomber, Declarationofpeace was himself a high-class juvenile. The half-brother to US champion, and successful sire, Honor Code, won three times at two, including the Qatar Juvenile Turf Sprint Stakes at Del Mar.
From the potent Danzig male line, Declarationofpeace’s first two dams are stakes winning daughters of Storm Cat and Mr Prospector respectively, while his third dam is legendary US champion Serena’s Song.

Rathmor Stud will be offering nine two-year-olds from Declarationofpeace’s eagerly awaited first crop at this year’s August Sale. Among them are Chaos Queen (Lot 1), a filly whose dam is a daughter of Galileo and G1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies winner Eliza, Spacebound (Lot 104), a half-brother to five winners including G3 Lebelo Sprint hero Taikonaut, and Mahzuz. The latter (Lot 174) is a half-brother to five winners, notably speedy G2 winner Jo’s Bond, and Mahzuz hails from the same female line as such outstanding international gallopers as Intikhab, Polish Precedent and Zilzal.

Rathmor will also be offering one of the best bred colts at this year’s August Two Year Old Sale in the form of Blazing Fury (Lot 300).  A son of outstanding sire Vercingetorix, the blue blooded Blazing Fury is a half-brother to four winners including G1 World Sports Betting Cape Fillies Guineas/G2 World Sports Betting Fillies Guineas winner Missisippi Burning, as well as Donquerari, third in last season’s Listed LHKIR In December Umngeni Handicap.
